Paper Leather Ballcap - custom order

Handmade waxed paper leather ball cap.

The paper we use is handmade in Japan. We know who made each sheet of paper that we use and have a surprising amount of information about each atelier and their methods as well as other conditions and sites of production.

Each cap is handmade from scratch in limited edition small-scale runs in small batches of material and colour in our studio in Melbourne, Australia.

Deadstock, repurposed, or found fabric is hand-stitched to paper, then melted Australian beeswax is brushed on and the hat is lightly baked. The wax bonds the fibres of the hat and fabric, strengthening it and changing it’s materiality.

The beeswax finish makes the cap stiff at first, but will slowly shape itself to your head and soften over time.

It’s water resistant, durable, light, and warm.

It smells nice and will age well.

We are open to making any colour for you! Send us a reference or Pantone colour and we can go from there 👽️
